Default Bad Design for Cupholders

Anyone question about the placement of the front cup holder. It is ok while driving but once you park you better plan on moving whatever is there because otherwise you're crushing the bottle or cup. Don't think there was much thoughts about this.

Default Cup Holders

I agree with the previous poster
There is no way anyone that ever tried to use the front cup holder would have ever let it stay in that location.
They should have been put side by side on the right hand side of the console.

As much as many people like to blame MBUSA for the updates to the interior on the 2001+ interior (which isn't what i have), the lack of integrated cup holders in the current interior pretty well identify that MBUSA didn't in fact have much to do with it, becuase in the rest of the world, drinking in the car is much less common, if not illegal in some countries. it simply depends where you're from whether they are "necessary".

The "factory" cup holder in the 1990-2000 are hilarious. Open the glove box which then lays flat. the back side of the glove box door pretend to be a little table with two small dents in it (like an airline tray) which you can set a very small cup on.

Many have an aftermarket cup holder installed in the location where your between seat console is, which are sufficiciently sturdy, but they aren't well held down at the front edge (becuase they need to flip out of the way to expose control bottons for windows or whatever)... which means if you stomp the gas or are on a steep hill driving up, the whole thing can tip backwards. Luckily it's only happened once to me and the lid stayed on the drink that had a straw in it. One day i'll install a fat little magnet to keep it in place... ergonomically clumsy still, but functions fine other than the "glitch".

The GL is undeniably american... and sadly boring. If you wanted to own a car with no outstanding features other than that it blends in and would still be perceived as reasonably expensive.

This cup holder is not very sturdy. It swings around a lot because the sides are just 5 chains attached to a small base that supports the bottom of your cup, and it hangs from the stroller handle by one small clip. My coffee often spills all over the place when I'm walking. The cup holder often gets knocked off because it sticks off the side of the stroller, and it finally broke after getting caught in a doorway for the 20th time. I will not buy another one. I have a Snap-n-Go with an awesome dual cupholder that spans the inside of the handlebar, and it's made of hard plastic with nice deep wells for cups/bottles. I wish the Uppa stroller came with something like that.

Default Evil CaptorTLDRIDKJKLOLFTW

I recently bought a new iron (this one ) that falls over if you look at it funny. I can't quite figure out what went so horribly wrong with the design process that led to this, but it will barely stand up. If I slightly bump it in any way or even set it down without using both hands to gently steady it, it flies through the air and smashes into the ground. It has two little nubs on the back that are meant to act as a sort of tripod in conjunction with the tip of the handle to prop it upright.
