Default Hauling

Anybody use their Envoy to pull a boat or camper? I use mine to pull a small 8 foot trailer with my hunting and camping gear. I am considering getting a small travel trailer or pop up camper so I can take the family camping.

One of the old members, MichEnvoyBoy used his '02 to pull a 20-something foot boat during the summer. I don't think think he had to do any mods, so a little camper trailer should be just fine.

I pull an 18 foot boat all summer long, I do not dock the boat and pull it out of the river each time i am out. It pulls down the road like it is not even there. I store it in a town about 30 miles away and go down interstate at about 70 with the boat behind. Hope this helps.

Default hauled 45kw generator

i work for united rentals, we rent construction equipment. one day all our pickup trucks were on runs and i decided to use my envoy to tow a dual deisel tank generator. it went quite well, no braking issues,no problem gaining momentum, backing up into position it was great. i am going to rent a 16' dual axel trailer and move my mother this weekend, i will comment on how that went

The little SUV that could do it all.

I am looking at trailmanors for my family. My Envoy will have no problems towing this travel trailer.

I renetly moved my son home from college appox 400 miles round trip. Used a neighbors 16ft dual axle trailer(tall) and it pulled fine, no problems. It has been suggested to not use OD as it's a weaker gear. Gas mileage suffered 8mpg even loaded(tall trailer = high wind resistance and no OD). All in all it pulled great. If you plan on doind a lot of trailering I'd recommend an external transmission cooler. Pete
