My 1999 Yukon Denali with 5.7 liter , requires a new INTAKE MANIFOLD GASKET, LOWER UNIT.

The dealer states that valve cover gaskets need to be replaced to do the manifold intake gasket job, yet the blow up picture in Dealer parts shows, access to manifold bolts with out removing valve covers.

Has anyone had intake gaskets replaced????? on a 5.7 liter, do you need to take off valve covers?
