not reading ambient air temp

I have a 2002 Envoy where the temparture guage on the rear view mirror reads "OC". It has been this way for about a year now and I got a burr up my butt to try to fix it, but everything I have tried has been unsuccessful. Someone out there has got to have the answer on how to fix my issue. Thank you

There is a sensor in the front of the truck (I believe it is behind the grill). Have you tried to replace that yet?

no. I thought there had to be a sensor somewhere, but I wasn't sure where to look. I will look and see if I can find it. Thanks for the advise
