I had a code pop up that has something to do with the secondary air injection system malf, it doesn't run any different when my check engine light came on but that is the code that came up. Anybody have any ideas here?

Most likely you will have to go to the dealer to get the error light turned off with their computer handheld device. I have had to do it several times with a different and older chev of mine. I finally gave up and have left the engine error light just stay on. It cost me each time that I went and that can get expensive.
